Luxury Home Sales in Denver, CO are up 38 percent, as International Buyers are Purchasing more High-End U.S. Properties

Denver’s historic Cherry Creek North neighborhood is a popular location for those who want to experience all the best things Colorado has to offer

Luxury home sales in Denver, Colorado – a destination for international travelers seeking some of the world’s best skiing and mountain recreation – are up 38 percent, according to a recent report.

“Denver’s luxury residential real estate market is continuing to show signs of growth and significant momentum during the past 12 months, especially for properties priced above $500,000, which reflects that market of homes priced in the top ten percent of all home sales in the area.” “The city is attracting a great deal of attention from second home buyers, who want to enjoy all of the great amenities and attractions of the Mile High City, while being within close proximity of the Rocky Mountains. A compelling location combined with unique affordability and lifestyle, there are few cities in the nation that have the same appeal of Denver, it’s no wonder we are seeing an increasingly strong high-end housing market.”

Among Denver’s more desirable high-end markets is the historic Cherry Creek North neighborhood, (considered to be Denver’s version of Beverly Hills, Buckhead and other famously exquisite U.S. neighborhoods). The neighborhood’s most exclusive residential project – NorthCreek – has a host of owners who have homes around the world, and have made NorthCreek their Colorado home. Homeowners here walk to some of the finest shops, restaurants and galleries from their elegantly appointed residences. They also enjoy the privacy of a beautifully landscaped, gated central courtyard, 24 hour concierge services, valet, a finely appointed grand lobby and entrance and controlled access. NorthCreek truly represents a “Colorado urban” spirit.

“Based on this recent report, and continuing solid numbers, we have reason to be optimistic about Colorado’s luxury market.” “While no one knows what the immediate future holds, if you intend to stay in a home for several years, now is an outstanding time to buy.”

Brownstones in the Heart of the New Cherry Creek North

Welcome to your new home – make that your new Brownstone – in the “New Cherry Creek North”. Following a multi-million dollar, privately funded streetscape renovation, Denver’s exclusive neighborhood and shopping district has further established itself as the Mile High City’s version of Beverly Hills. And the newly completed Brownstones at NorthCreek are the premier address in Cherry Creek North.

“Each of the new Brownstones, located in the heart of the great shopping and dining venues of Cherry Creek North, has a unique floor plan, with a private entry from the private and secured European styled courtyard,” said David Steel of Western Development Group, the development company of the exclusive NorthCreek. “The NorthCreek Brownstones also share an exclusive address with some of the world’s most distinctive names in retail and fashion, including Hermes, Loro Piana and Eileen Fisher. Our location, combined with the overall quality of the NorthCreek development, is unlike any other living option anywhere in Denver.”

Some of the features of the Brownstones include three design packages to select from, in-home elevators, a private courtyard, top of the line appliances and finishes, CAT 6 electronic capability, decks overlooking Fillmore Plaza and secure underground parking.

Cherry Creek North has captured the attention of international travelers “in the know,” some of whom appreciate it so much that they have purchased a vacation home at NorthCreek.

Cherry Creek North is also a locals’ favorite with a wealth of outstanding art galleries, fine shops and excellent restaurants. In fact, there are 280 independently-owned boutiques, as well scores of internationally renowned stores in this rare neighborhood (considered to be Denver’s version of Beverly Hills, Buckhead and other famously exquisite neighborhoods).

Thousands of people recently enjoyed the celebration to mark the completion of “The New North” project and the opening of the new and improved Fillmore Plaza. The privately funded streetscape renovation project includes improvements that will serve Cherry Creek North and its visitors for many years to come. The new Fillmore Plaza will enhance pedestrian, event and retail activity with beautiful landscaping, new lighting, environmental graphics, street furniture, trees, flower beds and a central canopy-like artistic shade structure. NorthCreek’s Brownstones overlook the new plaza, and are within steps of great dining, shopping and entertainment.

It is a residence specifically designed for serious art collectors, ” said David Steel, partner of Western Development Group, the developer of NorthCreek. “By welcoming local artists to display their artwork in the residence, we’ll have the opportunity to present the space in a way that buyers can fully appreciate the floorplan. It is unlike any other residence in Denver, and has raised the bar for what serious art collectors in Denver can and should expect from a home.”

The residence “fits” an artistic eye with walls and columns perfectly sized and situated to display paintings and images, and various rooms and niches for art installation. Custom designed lighting is positioned to highlight the display areas and draw a person’s interest and attention. A commercial-grade heating and ventilation system provides the exacting temperature controls that are critical to fine art, and high grade floors assure that even the heaviest sculptures can be safely placed in the home.

People who live at NorthCreek in Cherry Creek North walk to some of the city’s finest shops, restaurants and galleries from their elegantly appointed homes. They also enjoy the privacy of a beautifully landscaped, gated central courtyard, providing a colorful respite to the urban bustle outside the private gates, in addition to 24 hour concierge services, valet, a finely appointed grand lobby and entrance and controlled access. Living Amid Art

As the art scene in Denver continues to flourish and grow, a new “Art Residence” has been crafted for the most serious art collectors who want a show-home for their artistic treasures. The residence is located in the ultra-exclusive NorthCreek development in Cherry Creek North, and was built to the exacting standards of Diamond Homes.

“The Art Residence features a gallery-like atmosphere that one would expect to find in New York or Los Angeles,” said Steve Diamond of Diamond Homes, which has built some of the finest homes in and around Cherry Hills and Denver Country Club. “The space itself is art, and is certain to accentuate any art collection. It was a pleasure to work with Western Development Group and designer Richelle Ashmore on this one-of-a-kind space. It is certainly one of the most unique residences in all of Colorado.”

Custom designed lighting is positioned to highlight the display areas and draw a person’s interest and attention. A state-of-the-art heating and ventilation system provides the exacting temperature controls that are critical to fine art, and post-tension slab floor construction with wood, tile and carpet overlay, assures that even heavy sculptures can be safely placed in the residence. The home also has automated window shade controls that a person can program to filter UV light.

Western Development Group, the developer of NorthCreek, made the decision to create an Art Residence based on what the company believed is lacking in the marketplace for serious art collectors. Realizing the importance of artwork to a majority of their clientele, the team is delivering a home that provides a person a place to display and live comfortably amid their art.

“Many modern homes are designed with big, white walls and the art is easily lost in the vastness of the space,” commented David Steel of Western Development Group. “This residence is very well designed, built with the highest quality in mind and very hospitable to almost any art collection. We’re looking forward presenting the home to people who want a space where their artwork will be noticed and appreciated to its fullest.”

Looking For a Home in Colorado? NorthCreek Might Have More of What You’re Looking For

International travelers might consider the best location for a Colorado vacation home to be in a world class ski resort town such as Aspen, Vail or Telluride. However, more people are beginning to buy vacation residences and second or third homes in the state’s capital city, where they are discovering all the great entertainment, shopping and dining venues of Denver.

One Denver neighborhood, Cherry Creek North, is attracting a great deal of interest among people who want a high-end residence in the “Mile High City”, where they can have the best of everything close at hand. The luxuriously-inclined neighborhood –which was established in the late 1800s – has taken the time to shed its frontier image and establish a high-end image for itself that is on par with some of the nation’s most exquisite neighborhoods (such as Beverly Hills and Buckhead), but with a western charm all its own. It is also where some of Denver’s most exceptional properties are located, such as the new NorthCreek residences.

NorthCreek, which began welcoming its first residents in 2009, offers the most exclusive assortment of condominiums, brownstones and flats anywhere in the city, attracting the interest of buyers from across the nation and around the world. NorthCreek has redefined luxury living in the rocky mountain region, and is providing buyers with an urban retreat that is in the heart of the finest dining, shopping and entertainment in Denver.

“NorthCreek has established a new benchmark for quality construction, elegant architecture and highly desirable living space,” said David Steel, partner of Western Development Group, the Denver-based NorthCreek development team, and a prominent land owner in Cherry Creek North, Denver and throughout Colorado. “People who live here enjoy the ultimate pedestrian experience, with over 300 independently owned boutiques and restaurants in Cherry Creek North’s sixteen-square-block shopping district. They also have easy access to downtown Denver, outdoor recreation and the mountains. NorthCreek provides ideal residences in an idyllic ‘Colorado urban’ setting.”

“For people who want to own a home in Colorado, the high country isn’t your only option,” said Steel. “Denver and NorthCreek might provide more of what you’re looking for in a home in the Rocky Mountain West.”

Cherry Creek North Favorite, Pasta Pasta Pasta, Moving to the Fanciest of New Digs at NorthCreek

While only a block from their original address, Lisa Miller and Franco Tronchin’s longtime establishment will add another one-of-a-kind element to the exclusive Cherry Creek North development

The founders of Pasta, Pasta, Pasta, a longtime favorite restaurant in Denver’s Cherry Creek North neighborhood, have announced plans to move to the new mixed-use development NorthCreek also in Cherry Creek North. NorthCreek, a city-block development, bordering the west side of Fillmore Plaza between 1st and 2nd Avenues, includes luxury condominiums above a unique mix of retail shops.

The restaurant was established by Denver-native Lisa Miller in Cherry Creek North in 1984 at 278 Fillmore after she decided to pursue her love of Italian food while studying abroad in Italy.

“I studied art restoration in Italy, and always thought the food there matched or surpassed the great Italian art. Since food was always my inspiration, I left the artwork to others and pursued my dream of opening an Italian pasta shop,” shares Lisa, who opened Pasta, Pasta, Pasta in 1984. “Franco and I were married in 1988 and he introduced some great ideas for developing a take-out/prepared food side of the business. Ever since that time, our customers come here for lunch, or order catered meals from around the country.”

Pasta, Pasta, Pasta’s NorthCreek location will front Fillmore, just south of 2nd Avenue, and become another highly unique tenant to the retail and residential development. The new restaurant will have 2,000 square feet of space, not including a 300 square foot patio. The larger space will also enable Lisa and Franco to expand their display of exquisite Italian ceramic serving plates and artwork they have been selling for over twenty years.

“We love the NorthCreek location as it will provide us with more space, much better visibility and a great outdoor seating area directly on Fillmore,” notes Franco. “NorthCreek was the ideal solution to continue to provide the outstanding quality we’re known for in a space that will be more comfortable and convenient for all of our existing and new customers.”

The restaurant will also have a liquor license with plans to serve beer and fine Italian wines, with appetizers in the afternoons. NorthCreek residents will enjoy a private “residents only” entrance to the restaurant accessed from the project’s gated interior courtyard. One thing that will not change in the new location is the dedication to delivering the highest quality Italian food. The menu changes according to the season.

“Pasta, Pasta, Pasta is a longtime Denver favorite, and the restaurant is an exciting new addition to our retail mix,” said Roy Kline a partner of Western Development Group, the developers of NorthCreek. “People who both visit and live at NorthCreek can shop for international fashion at Hermes and Loro Piana, and step down the block for the very best recipes from a local favorite. The worldly and local mix of ‘flavors’ of NorthCreek is undeniable, and represents the international city Denver has become.”

Pasta, Pasta, Pasta will begin moving into their new space in late July, and will be open for business in early August.

Fashion and Fine Living Await at NorthCreek

Living “above it all” is taking on new meaning at NorthCreek, the new, ultra-high-end residential and retail development in Cherry Creek North. Not only can a person live within easy walking distance of all the great shopping and dining venues of this classic Denver neighborhood, but on-top of some of the greatest names in retail and fashion.

For those in the “know” when it comes to fashion, the names Hermes, Loro Piana, BCBG Max Azria and Eileen Fisher probably conjure up thoughts of a fashion Mecca. All of these prominent names in retail already have, or will soon set-up their first Denver stores at NorthCreek, joining other great shopping dining destinations such as See Eyewear, The North Face and Pasta, Pasta, Pasta that line the walkways of NorthCreek.

While other new residential developments in Denver are quick to show-off their club rooms, fitness centers and pools as great amenities, none can match living above a Rodeo Drive-like setting in the heart of Denver. As an example, one of the NorthCreek penthouses, a 2,900 square foot residence, provides an incredibly unique location, directly above the Hermes store along First Avenue. A quick elevator ride will deliver the owner into the heart of fine fashion.

Western Development Group, NorthCreek’s development team, recently announced the completion of nine new Brownstones and the opening of a Brownstone model. Each of the new Brownstones has a unique floor plan, with a private entry from NorthCreek’s private and secured European styled courtyard. The Brownstones also include three design packages to select from, in-home elevators, a private courtyard, top of the line appliances and finishes, CAT 6 electronic capability, decks overlooking the new Fillmore Plaza and secure underground parking.

NorthCreek’s full block development consists of three phases which total 48 units that are strategically placed over retail shops and underground parking. Many of the homeowners in the first phase, which is a seven story high rise on Detroit Street, have already moved in.

The second phase, which fronts onto Second Avenue, offers some of the most unique condominiums in Denver. There are eight fully customizable units with elevators that open directly into each unit and feature rooftop decks and spacious outdoor terraces. These residences are approximately 3,060 square feet in size, and can be easily combined for even larger units if desired.

All of the owners have access to a private and reserved underground parking level and enjoy valet parking, full concierge service, controlled access and a private, manicured courtyard. The exterior finishes of all three phases utilize an abundant amount of red Colorado sandstone (especially prevalent on the Brownstones). The development also provides public parking spaces for retail and guest parking.

If you’re a fashionista looking for a place to live where you can easily satisfy your craving for great clothes and accessories — not to mention nearby fine restaurants, great art galleries and more shopping experiences then you could hope for — NorthCreek is the place you’ll want to be.
